How to Create Your Protection Spell Jar

• Go to ground. Pull your curtains, lock your doors and close your windows. Create a private, protected space where you can focus on your ritual.
• Call in your protections. Cast a circle if you wish, but you don’t need to.
• Light the candle. If you feel drawn to, anoint it or carve a protective sigil into the candle.
• Examine the ingredients. Feel their energy and set your own intention for each object.
• Mindfully craft your spell jar. There is no single correct way to do this. Let your intuition guide you and create the jar in a way that feels right to you.
• As you craft your protection spell jar, keep your desired protection in mind. You might visualise a protective shield or web emanating from the jar and surrounding you, your home, your loved ones or whatever you wish to protect.
• Read the scroll included in the kit and follow its instructions. Once you have finished, burn the scroll safely.
• Seal your spell jar with wax from your spell candle.
• Allow the candle to burn out, or snuff it if you prefer not to leave it burning.

After the Spell

• Hide your protection jar somewhere secret but easily accessible. You may want to check on it periodically.
• Do not open the jar until you feel it has served its purpose. Afterwards, you can reuse anything you wish after cleansing it thoroughly, return what you can to the earth, and dispose of what you cannot with thanks.

The most important part of this ritual is your own intention. Take your time with each ingredient and allow your intuition to guide the process. Your finished spell jar can be kept as a personal focus for protection and as a reminder of the boundaries and energy you wish to maintain around yourself and your space.
